ADR Institute Web & CRM Re-Design
The ADR Institute of Alberta is a non-profit that offers information, resources and expertise in conflict management. They serve the public as well as their members who are mediators, arbitrators, and other professionals working in dispute resolution. Their technology needs include a website and customer relationship management database. They were using an outdated membership database that was causing issues and quickly increasing in cost.
After consulting with staff and users, I designed and developed a new website and database. I identified a need for a better triage system to help users navigate through the website. I turned the website into four integrated sections: About ADRIA, Training Information, Resources for the Public, and Resources for Members. I also added triage by topic into each section to help users choose.
I also gave them a new database on the backend to manage their members. This database was much more user-friendly for staff and also provided a lot more opportunities to market to and communicate with their members.
Considering the purpose of the non-profit, I made sure to include images that had a human element and represented a diversity of human experience.
