Zoe’s Animal Rescue Website Re-Design

Zoe’s Animal Rescue is a charity that connects adoptable animals with homes. When I became the leader of their volunteer Media Team, I quickly realized that we would need a new website. I developed a WordPress website that uses a database to show adoptable animals in order to market the animals to potential families more effectively. Each animal is entered through a simple form that is easy for volunteers without in-depth web development experience to fill out. These details automatically go into a template with all the appropriate headings and formatting.

I also integrated storytelling into the website; each animal has a quirky section of their profile called “Critter Twitter” that gives personality. I started a blog and had volunteers writing posts and interviewing foster families. I integrated social media so the posts and animals were easily shareable.
